It is always great to see this family- not only is she a dear friend from high school, she was my first paid shoot as a professional photographer many years ago. Since then I have gotten to photograph these gorgeous boys 4 times, with my favorite being the "chocolate beach" shoot after the BP oil spill.

Kyler Zachary Hansen- WELCOME!

Brynley is a big brother! I was soo excited that Jennifer and Zack allowed me to be part of their special day. I have been wanting to do one of these shoots for years- normally I just get to show up once baby is here :-) This was extra special, not only are these two a very dear part of my life- this was my first natural birth I've been present at- (all four of mine were c-section) I can't wait to do his newborn shoot this weekend- more pics to come!

The only thing I like better than seeing my customers come back is when they bring a new addition for me to meet. I know you won't recognize this little cutie from her newborn session 2 years ago- but miss Emma is now a big sister and is so grown up now and a very serious little one- she was a sport for hanging out with me but was not dishing out any smiles today :-)

2 families + 7 kids +one beautiful beach= a GREAT TIME :-)

My cousin and her gorgeous children came down with a friend for vacation last month and I was so excited to visit with them and get them in front of my camera- I normally only get to see them at the Christmas Party (not very conducive to either of those things) We had a great time and as you can see got some great shots!Great to meet you Heather- your kids were wonderful :-)

I have been photographing these two little cuties since they were three months old. It's so sweet to see their relationship now and how they interact with each other. I can say, their personalities have not changed. Aiden has always been a little quiet,shy and reserved. Jacob on the other hand has always been more outgoing and quick to smile- now he is quite the ham and a little man of many faces-so animated, every frame was completely different. Thanks Candice- Always great to see you all again, and even better that I can call you a friend :-)

This little cutie was lots of fun and was really enjoying her newfound freedom. As far as with the duck, it was love at first sight- she shocked both mom and I with how comfortable she was with little Dennis (the duck). The "kissing" picture is my favorite!

This little guy has an amazing mommy- when she contacted me she told me that she gets deployed this Summer and wanted some good photos of her son to take with her. WOW-the thought of my pictures being her link to her son while she serves our country- no pressure here! I wanted everything to be perfect... and it was- a gorgeous family and ADORABLE little boy braved the chilly morning and we got some great shots. I hope you all had a glorious Holiday Season. It's been an exciting and crazy past few weeks. With the recent move, the Holidays, setting up the new studio and regular sessions I have not been able to keep up! It's a New Year and I am so excited about some new projects that are on the horizon. I will be needing LOTS of little models for these so watch out for extra "model for me" days. It was so great to see this family again. It's only been a few months but I was thrilled when mom said she wanted me to capture little T turning one. Well, she was walking now and game for a lot more than our first session :-) We had a great time, beautiful weather- and of course lots of cute pictures. OMG- I saw this little man walking out of the dollar store and was instantly in love- I'm so glad dad gave my card to mom- I was super excited when she called! This little guy had to pee more often than me- so I took advantage of it every time!! He of course caught on to us laughing hysterically every time so about every 20 min he "had to go again". Keep an eye out- this little guy is going to be in some new prints coming out soon.

I got a sleeping baby, I got a sleeping baby.. O.K.- so you can't tell but I'm dancing a jig. I have been wanting to try out some new baby poses for quite a while but haven't gotten my hands on a newborn in a while. I was so excited that this gorgeous little was was so cooperative, I could have played all day! You may remember her proud mommy and daddy from their maternity shoot a few weeks ago- Thanks guys, it was great to see you again.
Note: For anyone considering newborn photos the BEST time to get sleepy newborn photos is the first two weeks- Call before your projected due date to reserve a tentative date- the first two weeks fly by and don't worry about anything, I come to your home so you can just relax :-)

Well at first I was really bummed that we couldn't get this little cutie to sleep. She was a little old for the traditional sleeping baby photos but I had high hopes. No such luck as soon as mom put her down she would wake up mad- But looking back I'm so glad she was up- would you look at those eyes!!
